We’re ushering in October with a suitable witchy workshop…

We’re very excited to be having a visit from renowned film prop designer Annie Atkins on Saturday 3rd of October at 2:30pm, who will be leading some craft activities inspired by her new book, Letters from the Witch Cackle Crackle.

Join five witches from across the globe as they prepare for the annual Big Witch Convention. There are potions to concoct, spells to cast and magical problems to solve – featuring hand-written letters, spells and scientific diagrams straight from the witches’ kitchens and laboratories.

Annie will lead a magic-themed craft activity where you can create your own spooky letters and stamps, taking inspiration from the beautifully designed props and ephemera found throughout the book.

You may know Annie for her legendary work as a prop maker and production designer, particularly on films directed by Wes Anderson. Her books bring that same lovely attention to detail to the page, with letters, spells and other magical objects that you can explore up close!

Come along, get crafty and make some suitably spooky correspondence of your own.
