We have a rather exciting one for you…

In partnership with Firefinch and Index on Censorship for Banned Books Week, we’ll be welcoming one of France’s bestselling authors, Marc Levy, to Nomad Books on Tuesday 29th September!

We will be celebrating the UK publication of his new novel, The Bookshop of Forbidden Books. A whimsical comedy featuring a bookseller, banned books, revenge, and a love story? A perfect evening to have at your local independent bookshop.

Marc is one of France’s most widely read authors, with 26 novels published and more than 50 million copies sold worldwide. His books have been translated into 50 languages – making him the most-read French author in the world.

His books mix romance, adventure, humour, and a good dose of the unexpected – and The Bookshop of Forbidden Books is no exception. It’s a funny, tender and wonderfully bookish novel about the power of literature, and what happens when someone tries to tell you which books you are allowed to read.

And as you can imagine, we’re quite fond of that idea!

Marc will be joining us for what promises to be an engaging in-conversation. There will also be plenty of time to ask Marc any questions you may have, and get a copy of your book signed. We’ll have copies of The Bookshop of Forbidden Books available in both English and French.

Doors will open at 6:30pm, for a 7pm start.

Entry is free, but places are limited – so RSVP to attend by emailing us at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you soon!
